Mind you I’ve written not one bit of the code that makes this site possible. Too many years I’ve been focused on the technical end and it’s never once really freed me up to take advantage of the tools for the purposes of content. Now, with this site, and the simply wonderful open source materials that make it possible, I get to focus on content and leave the technostuff to other more interested parties.
I’m a rich, complex woman with a long interesting life behind me, and a broad vista that is my future before me. This site will attempt to wrap some of that past, and the issues near and dear to my heart in some kind of fixed form, and share with anyone who wishes, parts of my future others might find interesting or useful. I wish I could say this is going to be a “wild and crazy” kinda site, written by a “wild and crazy” kinda Lady. I think I’ll leave the wild and crazy to other people who are so much better at it than I probably ever could be. After all, I’m not Steve Martin, Margret Cho, or anyone like that.
I’m also caring, compassionate and even quite empathetic, and believe that the single most effective positive force for change in the universe for growth is education. Toward that end, this site is going to be dedicated to sharing information and experience from my life and others that could possibly help other people improve their own lives.
I have, like anyone who is more than a couple of minutes old, a past. Oh my! A woman with a past? Oh goodness Maribelle, call our good Reverend Nocareaboutyou, we’ve got one of THEM around!!!
Seriously, I’m not here for everyone to agree with everything I say, and while I’m always open to new thoughts and ideas, this site is, by virtue of it’s design, construction and purpose a vehicle for what I’m thinking, feeling, have lived through or believe. Nothing illegal, immoral, unethical, racy, dirty, or otherwise terribly negative. I’m not going straight to hell for anything here, and nothing anyone can really say or do is going to change that. So if you find something in my site you don’t like, well I’m sorry, you have my sympathy, and my heartfelt suggestion you not expose yourself to further discomfort by coming back.
There will, no doubt be links to other sites folks might find are not quite to there liking, again, my sympathy. I am not however responsible for the content of any of those other sites, or anyone who runs or contributes to them. I will however, within the limits of my own abilities protect them and myself from other people who are out to cause trouble. I should also point out that I am not a huge fan of some concepts, people, or belief systems out there. So please, don’t wander through, form opinions, and decide your deity has appointed you to tell me I’m going to a place of eternal damnation and suffering because I don’t believe in things exactly as you do. Likewise, I won’t do that to you. I’ve made a pretty comprehensive study of most modern belief systems, and am pretty well fixed up with the one I have, and it has no room for narrow minded, judgmental people. On the subject of judgement, Iusually like to reference the Christain Bible because it has a great passage on the subject.
