Reiki
Level I
The first level, often known as “Level I” Reiki serves as an introduction to the student, and a warmup, allowing the energy to begin flowing, and start healing the adept. It introduces the adept to what are known as the “hand positions” for self healing, and some early meditations to aid in the adepts early sessions. At this level, Reiki is typically a very personal, and subtle improvement to the practitioners life. It begins a roughly three month adjustment and growth process and prepares the student with the knowledge and tools to begin integrating Reiki into their daily lives.
Level II
This second level, known simply as “Level II” Reiki opens the adept to a second, higher level of availability and introduces concepts like distance healing and increases the amount of energy, or “power level” the practioner has access to for healing sessions. Typically the adept has integrated Reiki fully into their lives, and this increases this blessing, and begins a roughly twelve month process of growth and cleansing. This is usually a profoundly moving period of personal growth for the pracitioner, and gives the practitioner the tools and knowledge to begin really touching others lives with healing and growth.
Level III or ART
Our third level “Level III” or A(dvanced) R(eiki) T(raining) once again increases the power available by a significant amount, and opens, through the attunement process the student to the full flow of energy. Typically at this point, the practitioner is considered a Master Practitioner and can easily begin treating other people as a vocation by setting up his or her own Reiki practice.
Master/Teacher
This is still technically third level “Level III” save for the ability to Teach and Attune others. Ironically in Japanese, the word for Teacher is Master, they are one and the same. This opens up the opportunity for practitioners to spread the wealth so to speak, bringing the journey of healing to others.
